I've been watching China Beach for a while and I just really want to say,

I LOVE Colleen McMurphy!

I'm glad I managed to get hold of a set.

I'm so jealous that you guys get to watch all those rare stuffs like A Promise to Keep, Final Jeopardy, etc. It's so hard to get a copy, not on the Internet, and definitely not on this side of the world...

Andrea, It's awesome to hear Dana as a voice actress and Scruples Two is great! She does a huge variety of characters in a wide variety of situations. The two cassette tapes were recorded back in 1992 just after China Beach.
And thanks so much for mentioning Life on the Refrigerator Door which I'm definitely planning to listen to. Thank you too Amy.

Dana, I suppose it's too ironic to say break a leg, but I wish you lot's of fun and the best of luck as you begin filming.

Every once in awhile I run across a movie (mostly) or TV show that I've not seen in ages, and there is Dana, playing in some usually dominant lead role and doing what she does best-O...my personal favourite was "Tombstone", but she's done some other Westerns?!
Just wanna say "Thanks for being there" I'd make Dana a good husband, but, sorry! I'm already taken!!! My Missus thinks you are spot-on as well!

Best Regards Always,

@Marlène:
Wonderful to hear that you liked "Kidnapped". I've watched the show several times now too and I always think: what a pity they didn't shoot more seasons. Of course Dana wouldn't have been in the following ones, but nevertheless I find the concept of the show quite extraordinary.
And I agree with you: Ellie Cain is a fascinating character. Another strong and independent woman. She always reminds me of a lioness protecting her babies. What I liked best about Ellie: she's immensely strong but nevertheless has a softer side, she is not afraid to show her feelings.

A funny thing I realized lately: Whenever I trip over strong female characters, vivid, independent middle aged women in books or in history: due to all her wonderful roles in my imagination they all look somehow like Dana

Dana, I don't know if this book is ever going to be translated into English, but when you trip over "Das Herz der Nacht" (Heart of the night) by the German writer Ulrike Schweikert, grab this book and read it. In it you will meet a wonderful character: princess Therese Kinsky from 19th century Vienna. A fantastic woman, just predestined to be played by you if the book ever makes it to the big screen

Hi there! =)

Hope that everyone is well!
I see that many people continue making days/nights of Danathon! Today, I looked at the complete season of Kidnapped in only once (I had not seen it yet!) and I did not regret…. I love this show!
Dana is fantastic as Ellie Cain, as usual! Inimitable and authentic! She is the best. And the character of Ellie Cain becomes another character whom I like, like the Dana's others roles!
Tonight, I'm going to see True Women, once again, I do not grow tired of watching this movie!
And you?

@Dana:Like Kerry, hope your first day of shooting went well and hope that your finger is better!!! hi hi

@Kerry: Thanks for this info. Well, I'll go to see if I can find Vietnam Nurses with Dana in zone 2!

Now, I must find others Dana's movies to extend my stock! lol

Have a great week to you all.... and I send you a lot of kisses!!!

Dana, hope you have always so much fun in RI with your show BoP!!! I can't wait for this fall! Loveeeee

Hello everyone!

@Dana, hope your first day of shooting went well and that the fingers are mending!

@Welcome Jewelee! I was born in Amarillo! How cool is that?

@For everyone, especially the nurse folk. Vietnam Nurses with Dana Delany is a really great video. (I haven't heard this one discussed yet/recently)

At the convention in Chicago, Dana talked about how the nurses of vietnam suffered the same PTSD as the soldiers. They, however, were never diagnosed or treated. So sad. This video really tells it like it is from the perspectives of (8) different Vietnam nurses. Dana is host/narrator. I bought it from the link on this website. A little pricey at $27.00, but worth it!

Cheers,

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

@Helen-Robin, haha I was watching True Women last night too. I loved all three of the main ladies on True Women, I thought they were all so brilliant in portraying such strong characters. I also fell in love with Tarantula. Had a Danathon last night might do another in the next couple of weeks.

I never get sick of it
Much Love and Kisses to you all
