I think my favourite character of Dana's, out of the things I've seen, would have to be either Sarah McClure or Rose Cleardon. It's really difficult to choose though, because I also love Jill in Live Nude Girls because I can relate to her so well haha. And I love Amish Martha too. Also, Katherine Mayfair was just genius (and I secretly grinned like a goof every time I heard her say Lynette :P).

All of these characters are so different, which makes it harder to decide on just one but Sarah McClure and Rose Cleardon just stand out the most to me. Sarah mostly because of her strength. I find her so inspiring. And I like Rose because of how complicated she is. Although at times it seemed like she was being cruel, she really just needed help. I found the whole story quite heartwarming. So yeah, I think that's my conclusion; Sarah and Rose lol. Sorry, that was a bit rant-y but I got there in the end haha.

I hope your fingers are getting better and not causing you too much trouble, Dana. You're still in my thoughts. Sending hugs and also good luck in RI :)

Excited for Body of Proof! *squee*

Take care

How many here remember when Dana broke her wrist skiing a few years back, I think while she had the Kidnapped gig (I'll double check that).

Unfortunately she had to remove her cast early. That concerned me a little. But that was before I realized it was going to be a regular thing!

@Chrissi:

And I think that there a lot of analogies between Josephine and Dana:both brave women with a strong sense for their personal independence. Adorable!

I totally agree with you... I also find that there are many similarities between Josephine and Dana! Dana is Josephine of modern times =)
Dana is wonderful in Josephine like she is with her others characters.
I like this character too with Sarah McClure and much more!

And also thanks you to Gerald for sharing the site of BoP with us!

@Priscila:

Josephine Marcus - I just love and share her way to see how life is going... she's pretty, independent and know what she wants and all this in a different time where this thoughts weren't good for a woman. Actually today isnt good but is easier.

I completely agree with you. One word: Josephine Marcus is just GORGEOUS. I love her, especially since I found out that she's a true historical figure. She's a wonderful role model. Her characteristics that you mentioned are exactly why I love Josephine too. She had an incredible approach to life that was really very modern for a woman in these times, as well as her expectations for her role as a woman in this society.Her bravery impressed me very much. And I think that there a lot of analogies between Josephine and Dana:both brave women with a strong sense for their personal independence. Adorable!

@Marlène

my favourite character is Sarah Mc Clure in True Women. I really loved this woman as soon as I saw the movie. it is a strong woman who fights for her ideas, her grounds and her family... until the end, no matter what it can cost her.

But Sarah is gorgeous too. As strong, independent and intelligent as Josephine. I Like her very much too:-)

@Gerald

Hey there all,

I guess I got the character wrong on Josephine, I was thinking the wrong thing. I do apologize, most of Dana's movies I have not had the luxury of seeing so my lack of knowledge on the character names is an issue, thanks to those who put the titles in, it helped me in realizing my mistake.

I like the comment from Moana & Kat, especially the Exit To Eden resemblence, so is Moana an eye opener as much as Lisa Emmerson??? :-) that was a great movie, and for it's day it was quite the mouth dropper for me, makes me ponder the thought whether those types of holidays really exist

Anyway, must get back to work now, thought I would check.

@Helen-Robin - No, Josephine Marcus is from Tombstone.... Dana's character from True Women is Sarah McClure, she is really a stronger and determined character but she is married, has kids and what she does everything to protected them and her people. It's really very good, but Josephine is different. She wasn't married at a time when good women should be married; she doesnt hide from anyone the fact she likes men and her dream is to live with "room service"... In fact, this is what I most envy her because live with "room service" must be amanzing...

LOL Without the drug habit and the constant attention seeking. I mean she has this fearless attitude that a lot of people here draw too. And shes wild about life she lives her life to the fullest, where I'm the complete opposite.

I would say she is more like Gia Carangi

That's saying quite a lot.
